Address by NRT Welfare Board Commissioner
Dr. M Vallalar, IAS, The Commissioner of the Non-Resident Tamils Welfare Board provided an in-depth overview of the welfare schemes and coverage available for Non-Resident Tamils, highlighting the Government of Tamil Nadu’s commitment to supporting overseas Tamils. Special emphasis was placed on promoting entrepreneurship among Non-Resident Tamils, encouraging innovation, self-employment, and sustainable economic growth within the global Tamil community.
Address by NRT Welfare Board Member
Mr. Pughal Gandhi, Board Member of the NRT Welfare Board elaborated on the government’s ongoing initiatives and future roadmap aimed at strengthening welfare measures and institutional support for Non-Resident Tamils. The session offered valuable insights into how these initiatives will be taken forward in the coming years.
Book Releases
- OTP 7th Year Commemorative Book: A special publication documenting OTP’s achievements, milestones, social initiatives, and community service journey over the past seven years. Shri EishSinghal , First Secretary, Embassy of India Released the book and received by Dr. M Vallalar, IAS – Commissioner NET- Welfare Board.
- Thirukkural – Arabic Translation: Released by Shri Eish Singhal, First Secretary, and Mr. Gopi Varadhan, Director, DPS – Modern Indian School. This historic release represents an important step in taking classical Tamil literature to a wider global audience.
Cultural & Entertainment Segment
A lively magic show for children was conducted as part of the entertainment program. The performance captivated young audiences and families alike, adding joy and vibrancy to the celebration.
Community & Brand Engagement
The event also served as a platform for community interaction and brand visibility, offering a valuable opportunity for organizations and businesses to connect with the Tamil community in Qatar.
